New Changes Can Affect Your Email Marketing
Anyone that is building a list of email subscribers with an opt-in form can be greatly affect by the new Yahoo and Gmail email account changes. As you probably already know, whenever someone signs in to an opt-in form to receive your newsletter, the right thing to do is redirect them to a page that explains how they can “white list” your e-mail address. The reason for this is so their email spam filters doesn’t throw your emails into the trash bin, otherwise called “junk mail” as spam.
Yahoo! Mail rolled out a new feature last month that allows you to set your Inbox (or any folder) to filter out all email that has not been added in to your address book. They have set it up in that you can now toggle and view only those persons that are listed as contacts. This could hurt Internet marketers that have not convinced their new subscribers to “white list” their email addresses.
