The Best Platforms to Blog On
Posted Under: Blogging
I can remember the day. About five years ago, I produced my first blog. I’ve sprung up a handful of them since then, but it’s been a long and enjoyable process nonetheless. My blogs have covered all kinds of things, such as the tongue cleaner and Truvia. I’ve also written about more popular issues like celebrities and fashion.
At first, I was a little lost for ideas as far as which blogging platform to go with. I must have tried fifteen different services when all was said and done. The most important thing to me was that I had something that wasn’t too difficult to work with.
I’ve been through my share of good ones and bad ones, and I’d like to tell you about three of the blogging platforms that I’ve found to be the best of the bunch. The best part is that these are all free.
1. Blogger.
First of all, I’d definitely recommend taking a look at Blogger, which is offered free of charge by Google. It’s very easy to set up a blog this way, and you get the benefits of having your content indexed shortly after it’s published.
2. Wordpress.
I absolutely love Wordpress as a platform because of all of the plugins available. There are really so many of them to choose from.
If you’re into the idea of expanding the offerings of your blog with many nice, fun widgets, Wordpress can be a great way for you to go. It’s free to set up, and there are thousands of widgets that you can add to your blog at no cost.
3. Posterous.
This is a new blogging service that I think is really cool, and may just catch on one day. Basically, all you need to do is send an email to Posterous, and they’ll post your email as a blog, no matter where you are.
The best part is the fact that you can upload videos and pictures directly to the blog via email, and they’ll post those too.
